San Carlo Group’s latest venture in the Midlands, Fumo Selfridges Birmingham, is now open.
Following a lavish £1million redevelopment, including the arrival of a stunning feature marble bar, the iconic balcony venue on the 4th floor, which was taken over by the Italian family-owned business in August, is now open to the public.
Fumo Selfridges serves an all-day menu of cicchetti; freshly prepared, regional Italian small plates; and seasonal specials made using only the finest ingredients, many of which are sourced from the best producers in Italy. Bottarga from Sardinia, Burrata from Naples, Culatello from Parma and white truffle from Alba.
The stylish new 3,000sq ft venue which overlooks the East Mall of the Bullring also specialises in Laurent Perrier champagne and cocktails – including a selection of signature drinks exclusive to Selfridges.
Fumo Selfridges Birmingham will be open
San Carlo Group opened its first restaurant on Temple Street, Birmingham in 1992.
Fumo Selfridges Birmingham is the Group’s fourth Fumo and the third Selfridges San Carlo Group restaurant. Other Fumo restaurants are in Birmingham, Manchester and St Martins Lane, London and San Carlo Bottega and Gran Café are situated within Selfridges Exchange Square, Manchester.
San Carlo Group operates 17 restaurants throughout the UK including San Carlo in Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Bristol and Leicester; Cicchetti in Manchester, Piccadilly and Covent Garden, London; Fumo in Birmingham, Manchester and Covent Garden, London; Bottega and Gran Cafe in Selfridges, Manchester; Fiorentina, Hale; Flying Pizza, Roundhay and Signor Sassi in Knightsbridge Green.
The Group also has an international portfolio with Cicchetti, Bangkok and Qatar and Signor Sassi, Kuwait.
