After a phenomenal turnout at the Midlands Fashion Awards (MFA) ‘Call to Meet the Judges’ in June, a total of 42 finalists have been shortlisted for the 2018 edition.
Now entering its 11th year, the annual catwalk and awards event will be supported by Alan Sharman Agency, Style Birmingham Magazine, the Edgbaston Boutique Hotel, Francesco’s Hair Group, the Central School of Make-up and Birmingham City University.
Hosted by Nicky Campbell, the leading platform for creative Midlands based fashion talent will be held at the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, CBSO Centre, on Friday the 12th October 2018. VIP ticket holders will be treated to a drinks reception courtesy of the Edgbaston Boutique Hotel, followed by the catwalk show, live music by Elegant Entertainment and the 2018 awards ceremony.
MFA 2018 winners will not only receive a trophy but will also gain industry led opportunities to further their career. Media partner Style Birmingham Magazine will provide the chance to work on an editorial fashion shoot and gain media exposure. While FashionCapital.co.uk will offer a one-to-one mentoring session with industry expert and CEO Jenny Holloway, as well as give designers the chance to win 60m of fabric valued at £3000.

“The finalists were selected at a presentation held in Birmingham and as in previous years the judges had the very difficult task of selecting the finalists.
