When it comes to travelling, everyone has their own ideas on the best ways to experience the world.
And there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to the perfect travel adventure – any global journey can be lifechanging.
This list is by no means exhaustive but should give you a little inspiration for your next trip, making your experience one of a kind.
1. Meet new friends
Travelling is a great way to meet new people.
And by getting to know the locals wherever you go, you’ll make some incredible connections and break out of your comfort zone, developing your confidence and becoming a more outgoing person.
There are even apps to connect with other travellers – although remember to be safe, especially if you’re travelling alone.
2. Connect with nature
Whether you’re an adrenaline junkie who is raring to go at all times, or would prefer a more serene experience on a warm sandy beach, exploring nature is one of the most exciting experiences a traveller can have.
Boating is one extraordinary experience. It takes you to places not readily accessible by other modes of transportation. You can do water sports, fish, or simply enjoy the peace out there with a boat.
Before anything else, ensure your boat lights are working or upgrade to LED marine lights for your safety and everyone else’s
You don’t have to climb Mt Kilimanjaro to explore the natural wonders of the world. Nor do you have to find the Northern Lights to be blown away by dazzling spectacles.
The world is filled with hidden treasures, and stunning landscapes and sea views, as well as opportunities for exhilarating adventures out of the ordinary, can be found just about anywhere if you know where to look!
3. Take a landmark tour
Some cities are known for their landmarks whilst others are filled with hidden gems.
But most will offer tours of their best known and most loved local attractions
If you’d rather have more control, choose yourself a city and set yourself a challenge. For instance, make a list of all the locations you want to visit and see if you can squeeze them all in to one day!
There are many ways to do this – for instance, if you’re a cinema buff, why not pick a city filled with iconic filming locations and visit where all your favourite films and series were made! New York’s Times Square has made countless silver screen appearances, but a lesser known spot in Manchester’s Northern Quarter has been dressed up to look just it on many occasions, including upcoming Marvel movie Morbius.
4. Study around the world
There are many countries around the world with fantastic education systems.
But for the typical nomad, being tied down to one place for long periods of time to study isn’t exactly the dream.
However, institutions offer remote courses that take place entirely online and are fully flexible around your life, responsibilities and travels, meaning you can learn on the go wherever you are in the world.
This unconventional alternative to traditional study offers a truly versatile and enriching experience that will open doors in your future.
We hope these four adventures have provided some inspiration for your next escape.
