Birmingham’s Hidden Spaces is holding a unique exhibition celebrating Birmingham’s hidden architecture, in one of Birmingham’s finest historic buildings.
The former Birmingham Municipal Bank on Broad Street will open its doors to the public for the nine-day exhibition between 20-28 June 2015. The grade II listed building, built in 1933 was the head office for the UK’s first municipal back, established by lord mayor of Birmingham, Neville Chamberlain.
The exhibition will be held in the spectacular ground floor banking hall and surrounding offices.
Come and see the stunning collection of Birmingham Post photographs and video footage by filmmaker Rich Greene, showcasing 24 of Birmingham’s finest hidden architectural treasures. The exhibition will also feature a collection of captivating images and stories about the Municipal Bank through the years.
Booking information:
The doors will be open for public visitors from 10am-4pm – no booking is required.
We will also be offering a chance to see the spectacular vaults in the basement. We are not taking bookings, tours will be offered on a first come, first served basis. We expect a high demand for tours, but we will do everything we can to accommodate all visitors. Please be prepared for a short wait.
