Popular Birmingham bar, The Botanist is celebrating its first year in the city this week and is looking back at the successes of the last 12 months.
Part of The New World Trading Company, The Botanist first opened its doors on April 6 2015 and, since then, has welcomed over 104,000 people to the Temple Street venue.
Having chopped, mixed and poured their way through nearly 15,000 of the bar’s signature ‘Botanist’ cocktails, and hung almost 25,000 of their trade mark hanging kebabs, The Botanist team have really made their mark in the city.
Famous for their delicious botanical inspired cocktails, the bar has gone through, 520 kilos of mint, 312 kilos of basil and 104 kilos of thyme alone in the last year, along with 520 punnets of micro herbs.
Alice Welchman, Business Development Manager at The Botanist, said:
It’s been a fantastic year full of cocktail masterclasses, ale tastings, quizzes, events and even a Guinness World Record – it’s fair to say we have crammed a lot into the last 12 months!
We are so grateful to our wonderful customers who have given us constant support throughout our time in Birmingham. We go the extra mile to establish relationships with locals and we are glad that we have been so well received in the city.
It has been an amazing year for The Botanist, and I am excited for what the future will bring. One thing’s for sure we’ll be toasting with a cocktail or two to celebrate!
The Botanist will be launching a brand new spring food and cocktail menu later this month, to find out more call 0121 600 7430 or visit http://thebotanist.uk.com/location/birmingham
