‘Hard Time Bus’ showing + Q&A at mac

Birmingham Filmmakers Take Feature Film ‘Hard Time Bus’ on Tour Birmingham, UK – 27th June 2016 –Award-winning director Dean Charles, teams up once again with fellow Birmingham natives—writer, Owen Mowatt and actor, Neil Reidman for his feature-length directorial debut “Hard Time Bus” through his production company 2HOTFILMS.

Starring Neil Reidman (The Big life, Casualty, The Detectorists) Naomi Ryan (Mr Selfridge, Guardians of the Galaxy, Guilt) and Roger Griffiths (Chef, Desmond’s, Death in Paradise), ‘Hard Time Bus’ is a multi-layered relationship drama that centres on the misadventures of a commitment-phobic everyman, Mark Bishop.

‘Hard Time Bus’ won ‘Best Feature’ at the Hollywood Black Film Festival, ‘Best Festival Film” at the MVSA’s in Birmingham and nominated in several categories including ‘Best Director, Best Leading Male and Best Screenplay’ at the American Black Film Festival in New York.
These accolades are especially significant as it is the first feature-length film for Birmingham, filmmakers, Dean Charles (Director), Nicola Gregory (Producer), Neil Reidman (Actor) and Owen Mowatt (Writer).

“This film is for Birmingham”, says Charles, “We were all born and bred here and we are proud to be back in Birmingham on 16th July at mac Birmingham to kick off our UK release of Hard Time Bus and our #GetOnTheBus Cinema Tour to prove that Birmingham has a working and viable creative industry.”

2HOTFILMS is currently in talks with financiers on a slate of film and TV projects for 2017 –and scouting locations and talent in Birmingham for a feature film.
‘Hard Time Bus’ tours start in Birmingham. It will be showing at the mac Birmingham on 16th July at 7pm with a Q&A to follow with the filmmakers and cast.
