Kingfisher Redditch Seeks 2019 Charity Partnerships

Kingfisher Shopping Centre is calling on the Redditch community to nominate their favourite local charity to become one of Kingfishers ‘Charity Partners of the Year’ as part of the Kingfisher Cares fundraising initiative.

Kingfisher Cares helped charities to raise over £32,000 in 2018 though fundraising and promotional activities and now wants to surpass last year’s fundraising total, creating even more opportunities for local people who need support whilst raising awareness of the great work that local charities carry out on a daily basis.

Domonique Lippett, Marketing Manager at Kingfisher, said: “Community is at the heart of what we do and so we are pleased that we can contribute to help local charities. We are delighted to be continuing the Kingfisher Cares initiative for 2019 by giving local charities the opportunity to boost their fundraising efforts through a partnership with Kingfisher and we welcome charities of all backgrounds that are local to Kingfisher to apply.”

Kingfisher Cares is looking for three charity partners for 2019. Once nominations and applications have been received, a poll will be put on the Kingfisher Facebook page for customers to vote for their favoured partnered charity. Previous charity partners have included Primrose Hospice, Your Ideas and Alzheimer’s Society.

If you know of a brilliant local charity you would like to nominate or, if you’re a charity and would like to apply to be one of Kingfisher’s partners for 2019 e-mail talitha.chauhan@kingfisher-centre.co.uk or visit kingfishershopping.co.uk to download an application form. The closing date for applications is 5.30pm on Sunday 10th February 2019.
