Post-Paradise is a grassroots experimental music series run by a collective of composers based in Birmingham, UK.
Now in its third season, they have created a centre of activity for new music in the city, programming established and emerging composers from the UK and abroad.
For Post-Paradise(18) we have:
Matteo Marangoni whose practice focuses on the potential of listening to establish new connections between people, places and objects, and explores unconventional uses for audio technologies and other media. Berlin based composer Heather Frasch who, through the creation of complex timbres, the usage of unstable notation systems, and electronics explores notions of fragility and stillness within an intermedia sonic arts practice. Brighton based composer Amber Priestley whose practice deals with musicians performing both music and theatre, such as where where music is the least important element over the movements of the musicians.
