Jewellery Quarter’s finest purveyors of chicken and beer The Rebel are to celebrate their first birthday as they spread their wings with the launch of a brand new bespoke beer garden, along with DJs and cluckin’ delicious food and drinks.
Based on Pitsford Street, Birmingham, The Rebel have got game! They’ve created a flap amongst JQ locals for their take on rotisserie chicken, marinated and smoked over cherry wood and coals, along with towering burgers, a range of chicken wings, sides and special selection of hand-picked craft beer and gins. The Rebel are now launching a brand new brunch menu which includes a sumptuous breakfast board, merguez sausage and bacon sandwiches, eggs benedict, royale and florentine, and The Rebel’s Bloody Mary.
From 12pm on Friday, May 31 to Sunday, June 2 chicken lovers can enjoy 30% off of all drinks and grub whilst they relax, dance and party in Jewellery Quarter’s best known suntrap.
Whilst the all new team of chefs provide that infamous cluckin’ good chicken, respected Birmingham DJs will be bringing garden party anthems. The Sunflower Lounge’s premier DJ of psychedelic soul Ben Drummond will be bringing the wax truths on Friday, whilst The Night Owl’s Tom Mason will be providing some pure funk and soul on Saturday, both spinning 7pm until late.
To celebrate their birthday being the same as such an important national holiday as National Rotisserie Chicken Day on Sunday June 2, The Rebel will be serving a limited edition salted caramel rubbed chicken, dripping in salted caramel sauce. Pair this with their famous spicy bottomless chicken wings, sumptuous sharing Caesar salad and drippingly good Dorito crusted beef burger for an experience at the top of the pecking order.
We’re really excited to be celebrating our 1st birthday with the launch of our brand new beer garden, we’ve put a lot of love into the design and decor of it and the sun is always on it so will be great for Al Fresco dining and outside events. Our new kitchen team have been working tirelessly on maintaining a consistently high quality of food including developing an extensive new brunch menu and we’re really happy.
