Fall brings beautiful weather to North Phoenix and it is just around the corner. There is always plenty to do in Phoenix, but when the fall months come, there is even more to add to your agenda. Luckily, all of these things are close by to the new master planned community, Sky Crossing.
Museums, Movies, and More
Sky Crossing is conveniently located next to the freeway, so you will have easy access to all of the great spots to visit in the North Phoenix area. Desert Ridge is just a short drive from Sky Crossing and offers the best shopping in the valley on top of tasty restaurants. There is also a nice size movie theater where you can grab some popcorn and check out the latest flicks.
Not far down the freeway you can find Top Golf along with plenty of parks and hiking spots for your family to enjoy the great outdoors. Other things for the family to do is ride the trains at McCormick-Stillman Railroad, mingle with the butterflies at Butterfly Wonderland, check out the otters at Odysea Aquarium, or enjoy a game of bowling. The Musical Instrument Museum happens to be right down the road from Sky Crossing and is always a fun and educational experience for the whole family.
If you are looking for more things to do, even without the kids, Talking Stick Resort and Casino is a short drive and there are many great shops and restaurants in that area as well. Or you can enjoy a hike or hop in one of the nearby public pools.
Special Events and Festivals
Fall is a great time to enjoy the festivals and events Phoenix has to offer since the weather is perfect. Salt River Fields, right across from Talking Stick Resort and Casino, is home to some of the best festivals, including the AZ Taco Festival in October and the Halloween Spooktacular event for Halloween. There are also plenty of pumpkin patches and haunted houses that pop up around the valley during this time of year. As the time gets closer, you will be able to easily locate these.
The Arizona Diamondbacks and Arizona Cardinals will be in full swing this September and October. The stadiums are just a short commute from Sky Crossing. Arizona Restaurant Week is a well-known even that takes place in September. Many of the restaurants that participate are located near Sky Crossing as well.
Oktoberfest is also going on in October with plenty of small festivals around the valley celebrating. The Fountain Hills Arts and Crafts fair also comes to the area in October and is always a big 4-day event.
