Renowned Midlands bakery and café Medicine, is set to open a new location at the Mailbox on Thursday 3rd December, offering an array of delicious brunch, lunch and snack options, as well as freshly baked artisan breads and sandwiches to take away.
The new 3,700 sq ft café and bakery will be the company’s third location, following Medicine’s incredibly successful Codsall and New Street offerings. Serving everything from delicious brunch options, to small plates, freshly baked artisan breads and show-stopping confections such as cronuts and carrot cake, the carefully curated menu will be available daily.
Occupying a premium space on Level 2, the Medicine team will also take charge of the deli in the Urban Room, where guests will be able to pick up fresh coffees and pastries whenever they visit the Mailbox.
Francesca Jones, founder of Medicine said: “We are thrilled to be joining the Mailbox and bringing our unique offer to such an incredible space, we feel very lucky to be in a position to keep growing our business during these challenging times.
“Our menu at the Mailbox will be in line with the ethos of our other locations, with a focus on local, ethically sourced ingredients, delicious fresh breads and pastries in a warm and inviting atmosphere.”
David Pardoe, head of retail, marketing and tenant engagement at the Mailbox, said: “Bringing Medicine to the Mailbox has been a long-held goal of ours, the brand is renowned for excellent quality, delicious food and a welcoming environment. We’re proud to be working with an independent, Birmingham-born business such as Medicine, helping them to broaden their offer in the city.
“Medicine will bolster the grab and go food options at the Mailbox, as well as bringing a fantastic dine in option back to Level 2. It will also offer our onsite customers more choice, as well as attracting people from across the city to come and indulge in a delicious meal.
“This opening is just one of the exciting developments underway at the Mailbox, we have more new brands joining in the coming months and we look forward to announcing further details on the redevelopment of Level 1 soon.”
