Since November 2021, the wonderful Greek street food vendor, Street Kitchen Brothers, have taken up a monthly residency in the kitchen at The Village in the heart of Moseley. On the third Wednesday of every month (with the next pop up taking place on Wednesday 20th April), Street Kitchen Brother’s bring their authentic Greek flavours to Moseley through favourite Greek dishes and this month it’s all about Greek Classics… not quite your Homer and your Iliad, think more Moussaka, Stifado and Gemista Peppers!
This month’s special, a Short Rib Beef Stifado – Herefordshire beef short rib braised in Greek wine and shallots served with rice. The award winning Street Kitchen Brothers have recently won the Guild Of Fine Food “Great Taste Awards” in November 2021 for their Moussaka, Spanakopita and Tzatziki. Their famous Moussaka has also been featured on The Hairy Bikers Comfort Food “Crowd Pleasers” episode in 2017 and will be a feature on the menu at this month’s takeover.
The restaurant owned by Paul Polyviou and Chris Butcher, are regulars at The NEC, Digbeth Dining Club, BBC Good Food Show, and Lichfield Food Festival as well as having a flagship restaurant in Walsall and an outlet in Selfridges in Birmingham.
