Late night pizza bar, Crazy Pedro’s, will mark this year’s National Curry Week, by teaming up with celebrity favourite restaurant Asha’s, to create a limited edition ‘balti pizza’.
The collaboration, named ‘Ped Sheeran’ is a nod to Ed Sheeran’s past visits to Asha’s, where during both visits, he ordered their best selling butter chicken dish.
The ‘Ped Sheeran’ toppings will be a blend of Ped’s world famous tomato sauce, house cheese blend, Asha’s butter chicken, (chicken tikka pieces in a tomato and cream gravy, flavoured with dry fenugreek leaves) poppadoms, mango chutney and coriander.
Crazy Pedro’s is renowned for its headline grabbing pizza creations such as Crème Eggs on pizza and Chippy Tea with curry sauce. Asha’s is a contemporary Indian restaurant owned by Hindi actress Asha Bhosle, and known locally for its celebrity clientele which includes Ed Sheeran and Tom Cruise, Amir Khan and Heston Blumental.
The pizza will be available to order at Crazy Pedro’s Custard Factory site, from Monday 3rd – Sunday 9th October until 3am everyday.
Jobe Ferguson, Liars Group owner, said, “Since opening our Custard Factory location, we’ve been eager to work with a local restaurant to celebrate Birmingham’s famous Balti scene. We’ve really enjoyed working with the Asha’s team on this limited edition flavour and can’t wait for everyone to try it!”
