Bacchus Bar, located under the Burlington Hotel on new street officially reopened this summer following an extensive four-week refurbishment, giving the iconic pub an exciting new look.
The pub has been given a facelift while keeping its traditional look and feel inside. Changes include updated seating and a new look bar.
The Bacchus Bar is renowned for being a hidden gem with its unique and quirky interior, from gothic arches, hieroglyphs, cherubs and many other hidden features, all of which have been maintained during the refurbishment, making it a must see pub in Birmingham.
Guests can tuck into all the pub classics including chicken and mushroom pies, fish and chips and prime steak burgers, as well as a delicious range of Sunday roasts.
Along with the new food menu, guests will also be greeted with an extensive drinks’ menu, boasting a wide selection of craft beers, ciders and new to the menu – cocktails.
Speaking about the refurbishment, General Manager Mark Tanner at Bacchus bar said: “having worked at Bacchus for the past few years, it is my pleasure to reintroduce an old favourite of the Birmingham scene, come and take a tour through history as you explore our unique underground interiors – from Greek and Roman mosaics through to suits of armour and medieval archways. Our most famous space, the Egyptian room, is truly unmissable, with its golden tomb paintings.
Located beneath one of the city’s oldest streets, dating back to 1398, in the basement floor of the Burlington Arcade, we look forward to welcoming new and regular guests.”
Following the extensive refurbishment and significant investment made at the pub, 3 new jobs have been created for the local area, with the team now ready to pour pints and serve delicious food to guests.
