The Active Wellbeing Society has rebranded

The Active Wellbeing Society (TAWS), a community benefit society and cooperative, is excited to announce it has rebranded to mark the next step in its evolution. This rebrand underscores its ongoing commitment to developing healthy, happy communities living active and connected lives, and improving wellbeing in the UK’s communities most affected by inequalities.  

Established in 2017 as an initiative launched out of Birmingham City Council’s successful Wellbeing Service, The Active Wellbeing Society (TAWS) has changed and grown over the past seven years. 

While TAWS continues to put communities at the heart of what it does, the organisation has rebranded to better reflect its growth, refined mission and vision, and broadened service across the UK.

Today, TAWS has unveiled its new brand, reflecting its ongoing commitment to positive change and community. In collaboration with Poke, a creative agency, this redesign has been carefully crafted to represent the community benefit society’s core values and holistic approach towards building a society free from inequalities, where everyone can live happy, healthy, and active lives.

Celebrating its seventh anniversary earlier this year, Karen Creavin, CEO of The Active Wellbeing Society, said: “We are pleased to enter this next chapter with a new look to further showcase how we represent The Active Wellbeing Society. We are excited to be on this journey and want to ensure we represent the organisation and its values and contributions as clearly as we can, and this rebrand allows us to convey the value of our work and the importance of the communities that we work with and in to deliver important change.”

As part of its rebrand, TAWS is set to launch its new website in the coming months. This update aims to enhance the user experience with improved navigation and streamlined access to its services, making it easier for community members to find resources and initiatives TAWS offers.  

Adding to this, Karen Creavin said:As we continue to grow nationally, our core values and services across different systems remain centered on tackling inequalities, knitting systems, and building resilience with communities. We have lots of exciting plans and projects to share in the coming months and look forward to embarking on this new journey together with the communities we serve.”

Working with partners across systems such as Sport England, Birmingham City Council, Active Essex – Essex Pedal Power, Sport Birmingham, British Cycling, and Run Birmingham, TAWS continues its commitment to delivering a wide range of free activities and services aimed at improving wellbeing at an individual and community level.
