Birmingham band Djabbic 3 to play the iconic Hare and Hounds

Later this month Djabbic 3 will support Japanese band Barbican Estate at the Hare and Hounds, in Kings Heath, Birmingham.

This is the bands second slot for local promoter Kushikatsu, who has teamed up with This Is Tmrw.

Djabbic 3

Formed in 2023, Birmingham based band Djabbic 3 merge slabs of fuzzy bass, dirty beats and seductive vocals, creating a solid sound of post grunge sensibilia. Psychedelic, disco undertones filter through their energetic heavy sound, drawing influences from bands such as Sonic Youth, The Stoogies and Black Sabbath. This 3 piece is made up of James (vocals), Mark (bass) and Darren (drums).

Over the past year they have played a series of gigs across the city and have released their first e.p ‘Dark Disco’ which is available on various streaming services.

Gigs so far have included The Dark Horse Moseley, Rock n Roll Brewhouse, Claptrap in Stourbridge and The Marrs Bar, as part of the annual Worcester Music Festival.

“Like most bands who operate as a trio they create a sound that’s far bigger than their constituent parts, and with a heavy bass rumble powering them forwards a persona of an unstoppable beast is created.” review from Devolution Magazine
