YAKINORI RETURNING TO NEW STREET AND RAISING MONEY FOR BIRMINGHAM CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL CHARITY

Popular Japanese Kitchen, Yakinori which is situated on New Street, is reopening its doors on Thursday 21st November and offering Katsu Curries for just £1 to raise money for Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity.

Customers are invited to come to the restaurant between 11am and 4pm on Thursday, sign up to become a Yakinori Club Member and receive a Katsu curry meal for just £1, with all proceeds going to the charity.

Ali Karakaya, founder of Yakinori, commented: “On Thursday 21st November we will be serving Katsu Curries for £1, and we hope people will come along as all the proceeds will be going to Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity and we want to raise a lot of money during this time.”

Katie Harris, corporate partnerships officer at Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity, said: “We’re thrilled to see Yakinori re-opening and we’re so grateful they’ve chosen to continue their ongoing support with this new fantastic initiative.

“With the proceeds of their £1 Katsu Curry deal being donated to our charity, anyone partaking will be helping us continue to do more for the 100,000 sick kids treated at Birmingham Children’s Hospital every year.”

Yakinori which is situated near the Floozie in the Jacuzzi, closed in September 2022, following a flood in the building. It will officially reopen on Friday 22nd November, where it will continue to offer its famous sushi, healthy poke bowls, including Pokenori the first Hawaiian inspired poke with a Japanese twist, as well as delicious hot dishes.

Ali continued: “We were devastated when our restaurant was flooded, through no fault of our own and we are really pleased to be back and reopening our New Street kitchen, back in the heart of the town. We can’t wait to reopen the doors and get our loyal customers back in our restaurant and for our team to show everyone what we have to offer.

“We are creating jobs in the town and are looking to recruit friendly, enthusiastic and passionate individuals to our team and have 20 jobs available so anyone interested should get in touch.”

Yakinori on New Street will be open Monday to Sunday from 11am to 10pm.

Yakinori has kitchens in Solihull, Selly Oak and Bristol and also offers a sushi school, where customers can learn about the history, the delicious ingredients and cutting skills from a Yakinori Sushi Master.
