THERE GOES COFFEE OPENS NEW STATE-OF-THE-ART CAFE SPACE IN CENTRE CITY

Birmingham-based event and coffee specialists, There Goes Coffee, have opened a brand new cafe space in the iconic Centre City innovation hub in Birmingham. It will be the first destination coffee bar for the local, independent business, with the new state-of-the-art venue designed to welcome customers from across Birmingham as well as the Centre City community.

Located only two minutes from Birmingham New Street Station, There Goes Coffee is a central part of Bruntwood SciTech’s £4.5 million transformation of the building and will bring artisan teas and coffee, and homemade breakfast, brunch and lunch to the destination.

The new There Goes Coffee at Centre City will offer high-quality specialty coffee, supplied by Allpress Espresso and sourced from regions across the globe via long-standing partnerships with coffee farmers. Alongside its popular tea, cake and coffee staples, visitors to the new There Goes Coffee cafe will be able to enjoy a new lunch menu, offering homemade and seasonal salads, soups and sandwiches. The menu is all made in house and has been designed to reflect the wellness ethos that has been a central part of Centre City’s transformation. There’s a brand new range of daily changing smoothies, and all with the option to add Protein Powder to aid muscle recovery and growth, perfect for those visiting post-workout. From home-made baked beans served on toast to wholesome seasonal salads, there’s lots of thoughtful, nutritious, seasonal dishes that are designed to bring warmth and energy to the busy Birmingham community.

Bruntwood SciTech’s investment into the landmark building on Birmingham’s skyline sees it become a central hub for the city’s high-growth businesses, delivering cutting-edge workspaces and high-quality wellness amenities to support the rapid growth of Birmingham’s innovation sectors

As well as the menu available, the new cafe bar features social seating, calming colourways, lush greenery and a light and airy feel that has been curated to promote focus and collaboration, whether you’re a customer popping in for a quick coffee en route to the station or taking a brunch-break from your desk within the building.

David Grogan, Managing Director of There Goes Coffee, said:

We’re delighted to be expanding as part of Centre City’s transformation, and to be opening a fresh new space for visitors to enjoy. Providing great coffee and exceptional customer service runs at the heart of everything we do, so we’re excited to enhance our offering with an even bigger focus on health and wellbeing. We can’t wait to welcome people through our doors to enjoy our brand new menu.”

Charlotte Wild, Head of Retail & Leisure for Bruntwood SciTech, added:

“Health and wellbeing has been an integral focus throughout the reimagining of Centre City. Providing high-quality social spaces where people can eat, drink, relax and collaborate is central to this. It’s a pleasure to welcome There Goes Coffee into its vibrant new home at Centre City and to support a local business on their journey. There Goes Coffee is a key partner in delivering the vision for the building and we’re sure that the team will be helping to power the local community and beyond!”

Bruntwood SciTech’s investment into Centre City has focused on creating new spaces for businesses of all sizes, and those looking to drive collaboration and fuel innovation. The newly refurbished 20 storey, 210,000 sq ft building now offers a range of flexible and scalable workspaces for companies at various stages of their growth.

As part of efforts to deliver an enhanced wellness experience for businesses located at Centre City, significant improvements have also been made to amenities throughout the building. At the heart of this is a new floor to ceiling living wall on arrival at the building, and greenery throughout all communal and coworking spaces including a new lounge and expansive green atrium. A new state-of-the-art wellness centre and fitness studio, sitting alongside There Goes Coffee, will also provide companies with facilities to encourage and prioritise active travel, wellbeing and work-life balance.

There Goes Coffee is open weekdays 8:00am – 3:00pm.
