FRESH OUT OF THE OVEN: SAY HELLO TO ALBERT’S SCHLOSS BIRMINGHAM’S IN-HAUS BAKERY
The Bavarian palace’s team of Master Bakers are set to bring sweet treats to Birmingham
Birmingham can now rise and shine to the smell of freshly baked bread in the morning as Albert’s Schloss launches its In-Haus Bakery.
On the menu for guests is the traditional Haus Pretzel, which is made by rolling and twisting fresh dough into shape before dunking into lye water for the ultimate crust and sprinkling with sea salt before baking.
For a sweeter tooth, the bakery team will be serving up the Albert’s Schloss Croissants and Viennoiseriepastries. They are proofed overnight for the perfect rise before being baked in the morning and filled with a variety of indulgent flavours.
Albert’s Schloss also serves freshly roasted coffee each day alongside freshly squeezed orange juice, a selection of teas and the Schloss classic Hot Schokolade.
The bakery is led by Head Baker, Howing Lai, a graduate from Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School in London. Howing has also worked at the Hotel Café Royal, Cheals of Henley and Adam’s.
The team of artisan bakers at Albert’s Schloss Birmingham will be working hard to ensure all of their bakes are fresh and authentic. Adin Memetovic, General Manager, said, “Our Baking Wizards arrive at 5am every morning to prepare all of our artisan breads and pastries in our very own In-Haus Bakery. We stick to traditional techniques, so that all of our bakes remain completely fresh and natural.”
The Albert’s Schloss Bakery menu is currently available all day (until sold out) from 11am, but from February 5th will be available on Saturday and Sunday only, from 9am.
