The Courtyard Gallery at The Core, Solihull will be ‘taken over’ by ten local artists from Monday 29 July to Saturday 10 August, as part of a new exhibition.
Visitors to the ‘Core Creatives Gallery Takeover’ exhibition will be able to see many of the artists featured working in the gallery, chat and ask questions about their work, and view their artwork on display. All works featured in the exhibition will also be on sale to prospective buyers. The takeover will take place over two weeks, with five artists resident in the gallery each week.
The artists taking part during the week commencing Monday 29 July are:
- Catherine Holland – Catherine paints beautiful traditional landscapes with a modern twist.
- Kat Bennett – Kat presents a collection of paintings exploring her love of the English weather, in all its rainy glory!
- Richard Rudge – Richard is inspired by science fiction, nature, and the changing world.
- Vicky ArtsAndCraftsV – Vicky creates artwork in an impressionistic or abstract style.
- Zarine Kumar – Zarine enjoys an abstract approach, often working in acrylic, charcoal, and oil pastel.
Artists taking part during the week commencing Monday 5 August
- Bridget Rush – Bridget will be exhibiting images of streets and interiors of Ireland, under the title of ‘Dublin Diaries’
- Hannah Smith – Hannah specialises in abstract, nature- inspired paintings.
- Jenny Musty – Jenny’s work is an expression of a deep appreciation for beauty – encompassing people, landscapes, and the beauty of nature.
- Louise Minton – Louise draws inspiration from places she has travelled – using new cities, landscapes, and people as a springboard for ideas.
- Tash Cullen – Tash’s work display aspects of Tash’s life, including a strong theme of cats (which Tash loves)!
The ten artists taking part are all members of Core Creatives – a creative hub and networking space based at The Core, which aims to benefit creative and cultural professionals living, working, and studying in Solihull. Designed in conjunction with local creatives and funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, Core Creatives aims to help local creatives to grow and develop their practice by enabling collaboration, experimentation, and business growth.
The Core Creatives Gallery Takeover exhibition opens on Monday 29 July and runs until Saturday 10 August at The Courtyard Gallery in The Core, Solihull. Entry is free and open Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday from 9am to 5pm, Wednesday from 10am to 5pm and Thursday from 9am to 8pm.
