B:Eats, a daytime cafe and evening eatery created by BMusic, the music charity responsible for Symphony Hall and Town Hall, is due to launch a new brunch menu on Thursday 3rd November.
New items on the Breakfast menu include Full English Pancakes (American buttermilk pancakes, butcher’s choice sausage, smoked streaky bacon, scrambled egg and maple syrup), Mixed Berry Pancakes (American buttermilk pancakes, berry compote, fresh cut strawberries and clotted cream) and Hot Porridge served with salted butter or with the diner’s choice of either strawberry jam, peanut butter, maple syrup, berry compote or hazelnut chocolate spread. The Breakfast menu also includes the B:Eats Brummie Breakfast (butcher’s choice sausage, maple cured bacon, black pudding, roasted heritage tomato, buttered mushroom, chef’s baked beans, hash brown, poached egg and the famous Brummie bacon cake) and the Veggie Breakfast (sweet potato cakes, roasted heritage tomato, roasted mushroom, chef’s baked beans, hash brown, avocado, poached egg and toasted sourdough).
Brunch dishes include Eggs Benedict (toasted English muffin, poached eggs, smoked streaky bacon and smoked paprika hollandaise), Eggs Royale (toasted English muffin, poached eggs, smoked salmon and smoked paprika hollandaise), Breakfast Muffin Stack (toasted English muffin sandwich stacked with sausage, smoked streaky bacon, scrambled egg, American cheese and a hash brown), Brummie Bacon Cakes with salted, maple or vegan butter, Middle Eastern Lamb Tagine (marinated lamb shoulder in a smoky ragu, poached egg, yoghurt, sumac and sourdough) and Buttered Sourdough Toast with salted, maple or vegan butter and the diner’s choice of either smashed avocado, poached eggs, scrambled egg or truffle mushrooms.
The lunch menu offers a selection of Buttermilk Fried Chicken Wings, including lemon pepper, buffalo, blue cheese, Koran BBQ & sesame and pineapple teriyaki, priced at any two for £10. The menu also includes Sticky Maple Fried Chicken (breaded buttermilk chicken tossed in maple syrup and served with Brummie bacon cakes and smoked honey), House Winter Salad (mixed leaf, roasted pumpkin, carrot and butternut squash, couscous, toasted pumpkin seeds and a lime coriander dressing) and Corned Beef Hash (chopped corned beef, fried potatoes, roasted onions and peppers served in a beef dripping sauce with a crispy fried egg and toasted sourdough).
The cafe will also be serving a selection of sandwiches, including The Meatball Flat (house made Black Country meatballs on a toasted flatbread with shredded lettuce, beef dripping mayo, pickled pink onions and fresh coriander), The Ensemble (roast chicken, maple cured bacon, shredded iceberg lettuce, avocado, heritage tomato and bacon mayo on toasted sourdough), The Vegan Meatball Sub (vegan meatballs in a rich tomato sauce with smoked vegan applewood cheese on a toasted sub roll) and The Toastmaster (grilled cheese sandwich on sourdough). All sandwiches are served with house fries.
