The glitzy colourful Magic Door will be raving at Boxxed on the 4th and Mama Roux‘s launches in the former Spotlight Bar on the 5th with a New Orleans and Deep South American vibe. Home of Digbeth Dining Club Mama Roux will host an exuberant weekly Saturday night event with special performances each week featuring live bands, burlesque shows, carnival dancers, actors and entertainers.
Night and Day Markets liven up The Bond in Digbeth March 5th and 6th with a weekend of music curated by Seasonal Markets and Leftfoot. Featuring the likes of legendary DJs NORMAN JAY, DON LETTS and all hosted by DANIELLE MOORE of UK disco band CRAZY P. Leftfoot are back on the 12th with Dark Corner Disco presenting Andrew Weatherall at Hare And Hounds.
Shadow City present electronic sounds of Tom Trago to the Rainbow 11th March, Grhymers presents Chase & Status + MC Rage at Q Club Thurs 24th. Afro Dizzy Scratch Presents DJ Yoda & DJ Mikee Lazy at Hare And Hounds, 25th.
Rainbow celebrate their 12th Birthday with a plethora of house and techno DJs across 6 stages for 12 hours of music also on the 26th.
If you do one psychedelic thing on Sunday 27th March… It should be to attend International Submarine Club Easter Special. A late-nite bank holiday slot designed to keep you shaking till the early hours! Ben Drummond and Dandy Randy will be bringing boxes of underexposed and established fuzz-laden freak-faves from the psyched-out sixties & early seventies. The Night Owl’s own master of ceremonies Mazzy Snape will be on the decks to transmit these mythical mindfood grails.
Legendary club brand ‘Wobble‘ bring the hugely influential Tod Terry to Spotlight (Mama Roux) 27th with DJ EZ at Q Club (hosted by GLAS) plus Holiday vs Love The Life present a Free Entry Easter Party at Hare And Hounds (also Sunday 27th).

The racing chart ryhthms of Rudimental grace O2 Academy, Monday 7th, local psych punk GLEAM and also MUTES support RINGO DEATHSTARR at Sunflower Lounge on the 9th. The psych pop sounds of Coral visit O2 Institute, Thursday 10th.
Welsh psychedelic outfit Gwenno play Hare & Hounds, Fri 11th. Local weird surf-psych band Karl Monroe are at O2 Institute, and the awesome funky brass sounds of Nick Pride & The Pimptones are live at The Dark Horse also on the 11th.
The Stranglers are showcasing their legendary ‘Black & White’ album (plus additional material new and old) at the O2 Academy with support from The Alarm featuring Mike Peters, Saturday 12th. Check out the St. Patricks Parade Day at The Old Crown on the 13th too, with traditional Irish music and indie bands.
Smooth vocals of Oh Wonder echo through the Institute Tuesday 15th and the rocky grunge guitars of LOVE BUZZARD shake the Hare & Hounds also on the 15th. Dead Prez w/ Rich Quick, E Double D and Beats & Bars grace the stage at Alfie Birds on the 16th. Joe Gideon (without the Shark) is at Hare & Hounds, 21st. Vintage folky sounds of the ever-so-talented Rory Butler will be supporting Skinny Living at Sunflower Lounge on 22nd, with Laetitia Sadier / Nicholas Krgovich at Hare And Hounds, Wed 23rd.
Local punk/garage band JOHNNY FOREIGNER will be live at the recently refurbished Actress & Bishop on 24 March, future electronica jazzy sounds of Letherette (Ninja Tune) & Bobby Bird (Warp Records) entertain at The Dark Horse, Saturday 26th. The brilliant combination of Shaanti and Holi Rave bring colour and music to Digbeth Sat 26th.
Wed 30th sees PURSON (imagine Kate Bush on acid) at Sunflower Lounge with Kiran Leonard finishing the month off at Hare And Hounds on Thursday 31st.
