Rum lovers will be delighted to hear that the much-loved Birmingham Rum Festival will be returning to The Cuban Embassy, Moseley, this Summer. The event, now in its seventh year, promises to be a celebration of the finest rums from around the world, offering guests a unique and immersive experience at the city’s home of rum.
The event will take place on Saturday 29th June at The Cuban Embassy, St Mary’s Row and rum enthusiasts and novices alike are invited to indulge in a day of flavour exploration and cultural appreciation. This year’s festival promises an expanded lineup of renowned rum brands, expertly crafted cocktails, and live entertainment – an event not to be missed by lovers of all things rum and reggae!
Guests will be able to sample an impressive selection of premium rums sourced from various corners of the globe, from the Caribbean’s traditional distilleries to the emerging artisanal producers, there’s a world of flavours waiting to be discovered. Oualie, Wildjac, Wray & Nephew, Appleton, State of Rum, Aztec, Diplomatico and Cihuatan are just some of the brands already confirmed for this year’s event.
The Cuban Embassy’s expert bartenders will be shaking and stirring up a storm with specially crafted rum cocktails, sharing the secrets behind creating the perfect blends and offering a complimentary glass on arrival for all VIP ticket holders.
With live music and entertainment throughout the day, guests will enjoy experiencing the party atmosphere that The Cuban Embassy is renowned for. Caribbean inspired street food will be available to complement the flavours of the featured rums, with the welcome drink courtesy of Burning Barn.

The event will be a great way to kick start the summer with live music providing a carnival atmosphere and a fantastic line up of rums providing a taste of sunshine for those dreaming of warmer climes.”

There will be two sessions available for rum fun- afternoon tickets are from 12pm until 4pm and evening tickets are from 5pm until 9pm with early bird prices starting at just £17. Standard tickets are £20 and VIP tickets are £28. In addition to a welcome drink and rum sampling, VIP ticket holders will be able to taste additional rare and exciting rums.
