With so many breweries opening up nationally, beer makers continue to push boundaries to separate themselves. Taste and Liquor have teamed up with two outstanding breweries for fans that love the amber nectar of the sun.
Meantime Brewing are an exciting award-winning brewery based in Greenwich, London. Recently know for producing the world’s first genetically coded beer, this unique company will be setting up their own showcase, with in-house beers specifically selected to compliment your BBQ feast. Indulge in their golden liquid offerings and catch their friendly staff presenting demos and free tasting sessions of their golden stuff all day. We warmly welcome Meanwhile Brewing, as this will be their very first showcase in Birmingham – another first exclusive for Taste and Liquor and Digbeth!
Next the multi award-winning Purity Brewing, will be setting up a very cool Cask Bar, celebrating their Warwickshire Brewery. Purity has made a name for itself with its commitment to sustainability, which lead to the company winning the title of Midlands Sustainable Manufacture of the Year in 2016. In December, their victory continued, with more awards added to their shelf as well as new products, a limited-edition barrel-ages beer called Perro Tonto, Pure UBU (a beer named in tribute to the brewery late pet dog, who was called Useless Bloody Urchin) and most recently the Bunny Hop Pale Ale. For one day only, Purity will be showcasing their products with demos and exciting taster sessions.
Meanwhile our third bar will celebrate four respected beers on tap. Head towards the Liquor Beer Bar for a cold pint of Kozel, Pilsner Urqell and Peroni but it does stop there, the organiser have challenged No21 Digbeth’s Mixologist to present the best Beer Cocktails this side of Digbeth! The main upstairs bar will also be serving a vast collection of sprits, wines, cocktails and ale.
The BBQ and Beer Festival will send you on a trail of the hottest dishes celebrating all corners of the globe and the smokiest battlefields that Digbeth has to offer. Offering great street-food, showcasing smoky traditions, celebrating new and local breweries and bringing together the community for some fantastic daytime fun!
