A year on from After Dark, chef Chris Hughes and artist Kaye Winwood have joined forces once again in taking over Birmingham’s favourite restaurant – Two Cats Kitchen – to bring you another unforgettable gastronomic experience.
Breakfast of Champions pays homage to the English tradition of the greasy spoon ‘caff’ in a tasting menu of legendary breakfasts. Set within Goldie’s pop-up café, diners will be charmed by the disappearing tradition of the family-run café and transported to a bygone time of gingham tablecloths and wipe clean menus. Served by a charming team of waiters, diners will be indulged in a fusion of performance, food and drink.
SAMPLE MENU
- Tea and Toast
- Bloody Mary
- Egg and Soldiers
- Full English Breakfast
- Pop Tart
- Cigarettes and Black Coffee
This seemingly simple food offer has been transformed into a delectably reimagined tasting menu for your culinary delight. Without giving too much away you can expect your ‘Tea and Toast’ to be boozy and without a slice of white in sight! The menu will also include suggested drinks pairings which can be purchased from a cash bar.
Chris and Kaye produce dining experiences for curious appetites with a desire to push the boundaries. Diners can expect an unforgettable evening that “makes you think about food and the process of eating in a whole new light… also a lot of fun!” (Diner from After Dark, 2016).
