Alina Bzhezhinska
Internationally renowned Alina Bzhezhinska, one of the leading harpists in the world today, has built a strong reputation for innovation. Creating a unique sound on the harp, with layered effects and electronics. Drawing from a variety of influences, including Dorothy Ashby’s ‘Afro-Harping’, Alice Coltrane’s spiritual outputs, Joe Henderson’s free form jazz experimentation & 90s Acid Jazz and Trip Hop, Bzhezhinska (composer, band leader and founder of the HipHarpCollective) is a one-woman powerhouse on a mission to bring the harp to the fore of contemporary sonics.

Beer Central Festival
Over 40 breweries, including Birmingham Breweries Dig Brew, Attic Brew Co., GlassHouse Beer Co., Sommar Brewery and Green Duck Brewery. Breweries from the wider Midlands area will include Purity Brewing, DEYA Brewing Company, Braybrooke Beer Co. and Twisted Barrel Brewery. A special live fire festival menu served around fire pits ft Andrew Sheridan (Saturday only), Andy Low N Slow and Green Box. Entertainment will be provided in the form of live DJ sets from artists such as Bam (Jungle Brothers), Sophie Lloyd and Dennis Bovell.

Sam Redmore & The Tropical Soundclash Allstars – ‘Universal Vibrations’ Album Launch Party

There’s live jazz and eclectic DJs every weekend at 1000 Trades. Spotted Dog (Jazz Tuesdays are not to be missed) with Rob J playing Balearic disco at The Bournebrook Saturdays. Hockley Social Club, Cafe Artum, Sun On The Hill, Snobs and Lab 11 have DJs each weekend. The Anchor has live acoustic music Sundays with The Ruin offering up live, free first Sunday of the months 2-5pm.
