A five-hour dance-a-thon that will teach you how to shake it like Beyoncé is coming to Birmingham in April to raise vital funds for Stand Up To Cancer.
The ultimate feel-good dance experience will strut to Birmingham on Saturday 27th April (11am – 4pm) for a one-off event where attendees (ages 18+) will learn three sass-fuelled routines to 00s classics: Britney Spears – Toxic, Destiny’s Child – Lose My Breath and Sean Paul – Get Busy.
All the money raised from ticket sales and individual sponsorship will be donated to Stand Up To Cancer to support their mission to speed up life-saving research, which aims to ensure 3 in 4 people in the UK survive their cancer by 2034.
SOS dance instructor, Amanda Radek, will host the empowering dance-a-thon, breaking down all the moves so it’s super easy to learn, even if you’ve never taken a dance class before.
Amanda said: “This is a cause that’s very close to my heart. My Mom’s partner was unfortunately diagnosed with a brain tumour last year and it’s been devastating for us. I’ve wanted to host an event like this to raise money ever since.
“I’ve met so many people who have had similar experiences to mine, which is why this event is going to be so special and so healing. It’s going to be a full day of empowerment, positivity and sass, all to raise money for Stand Up To Cancer.”
Attendees can either book onto individual classes during the day or challenge themselves to learn all three routines with a day pass.
SOS Dance x Stand Up To Cancer Dance-a-thon will take place on Saturday 27th April, 11am – 4pm, at Realtone Studios, 34 Cliveland St, Birmingham B19 3SH.
