The Old Crown in Digbeth turns 649 years old and to celebrate it’s raising money for St. Basils by holding a raffle giving away birthday presents from some of Birmingham’s best independent businesses.
The Old Crown situated on Digbeth High Street is widely recognized as Birmingham’s oldest inn, dating back to 1368.
The pub will host four events with something for everyone to enjoy; the Digbeth Quiz of The Year, Gin tasting, Birthday party and a two hour guided bus tour.
Having asked local businesses for presents to celebrate the occasion the pub has been overwhelmed by the response. So to give something back to our local community we have decided to run a raffle giving them away with all proceeds will go to St. Basil’s, the raffle will be drawn on Friday 1ST September 2017
Raffle tickets cost £5 and are available in the pub, just ask at the bar, and at any of the birthday events. You can also donate to the charity online through the pubs official Just Giving Page – http://bit.ly/justgive649
Some of the businesses who have given prizes include: The Mockingbird, The Night Owl, The Rainbow Venues, VR Virtual Reality, The Rowton Hotel, Chitty’s Cakes, Ideal Skateboard, Kanteen and many more.
