Premium Cantonese restaurant in Harborne, Henry Wong, The Malaya Classic in the Arcadian and The Thai Classic in Chinatown are promising a flavour-packed celebration for those searching for the perfect venue for a Christmas get together.
Whether it’s an office party or a small family gathering, all three restaurants are guaranteed to tempt your tastebuds and provide a gastronomic treat that will put the traditional bland turkey dinner in the shade.
Henry Wong is a mainstay of Harborne’s culinary scene and has been providing exceptional service for over 30 years. An unmissable treat for lovers of Cantonese cuisine, the Christmas Banquet menu (4 people or more) features dishes such as Paper Wrapped Spare Ribs and Slow Cooked Beef Fillet and Pumpkin, priced at £55.90 per person including a glass of Proseco. Alternatively a Christmas set menu is available for parties of two or more priced at £45.90 including two courses and a glass of Proseco.
Vegetarians can select from a special set menu including Salt and Pepper Crispy Fried King Oyster Mushroom and Crispy Aubergine with Hot and Sour Sauce (£40.90 including a glass of Proseco).
The Malaya Classic offers authentic and traditional Malaysian cuisine along with Malaysian Chinese cuisine and an extensive range of Vegetarian options. Enjoy the colourful surroundings of the Malaysian batik fabrics and Peranakan wall paintings whilst enjoying dishes from the festive menu which is priced at two courses for £31.90 or three courses for £35.90, including a glass of Prosecco.
Starters include Turkey Satay Yuk Sung, Rendang Beef Spring Rolls and Honey Marmite Chicken Wings, amongst others. A mouth-watering selection of main dishes includes Duck Rendang and Lamb Shank Curry.
Vegetarians will love the vegetable fritters and pumpkin mix vegetable curry.
Those with room for dessert can choose between the Cinnamon Churros with Salted Caramel Ice Cream or Banana Fritter with Vanilla Ice Cream.
Sister restaurant, The Thai Classic brings a taste of Thailand and Thai culture with handmade decorations and antiques from Chatuchak, Bangkok. The head chef from North East Thailand has worked hard to create an innovative festive menu that offers a taste sensation for guests looking for a flavour packed celebration.
The special menu, which includes a glass of house wine or a bottle of beer is £29.90 for two courses or £33.90 for three courses. Starters include Thai Turkey Money Bags, Crispy Pork Belly and the classic Tom Kha soup.
Whether you prefer a sizzling stir fry or an aromatic curry, there’s plenty of main dishes to choose from, such as the Tiger Prawn Pad Thai, Holy Basil with Minced Pork and Duck Red Thai Curry.

With this in mind, our chefs have put a great deal of time and expertise into crafting our Christmas menus to provide something very special for guests at all three restaurants to look forward to enjoy.”
The Malaya Classic and The Thai Classic have also created a delicious Christmas cocktail menu which serve two for one all day, every day including the Festival Bellini, Christmas Mojito, and White Christmas – smooth, creamy and indulgent with coffee liqueur and vodka.
