Fat Hippo, the independent UK restaurant group, has announced the opening date of their brand new restaurant in Birmingham city centre.
The company, who specialise in ‘roll up your sleeves and get it all over your face’ food, will open Fat Hippo Birmingham for dine in on Friday 17th June.
The burger joint, located at 11 Bennetts Hill, has 50 covers and table bookings are available now via Fat Hippo’s website.
Fat Hippo Birmingham will offer a full menu of their signature beef and buttermilk chicken burgers, which come with free fries as standard. A wide range of vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and halal chicken options are also available, as well as a great value kids menu.
This is Fat Hippo’s twelfth UK location and the company has major expansion plans. Additional restaurants opening this year include Shoreditch and Glasgow, with several other sites also in negotiations.
Michael Phillips, the company’s Managing Director, who founded Fat Hippo in the North East in 2010 said:

The family friendly burger joint is famed for its quality ingredients and quirky flavours, with burgers like the signature Fat Hippo (a double beef burger topped with American cheese, smoked bacon, chorizo, onion rings and Fat Hippo sauce) available, alongside the classics.
The group’s signature tangy namesake sauce is also a firm favourite with customers and can be found amongst other menu items such as Dirty Fries.
Fat Hippo work closely with Deliveroo and will be launching on the platform in Birmingham to allow customers to enjoy the signature burgers in the comfort of their own home.
