City centre bar, The Botanist is shaking up the traditional Christmas menu with a turkey version of its famous Hanging Kebab.
The festive classic will be given a Botanist twist this year as it is served-up in the restaurant’s trademark style, complete with a spiced-cranberry glaze. The Turkey Hanging Kebab makes up one of four mains on offer on The Botanist Christmas Menu, which will be available throughout December.
Other seasonal highlights include a smoked duck, clementine and roast beetroot salad with walnut and maple dressing starter, and spiced plum frangipane, with mulled wine syrup and orange custard for dessert. The full Christmas menu, including three starters, four mains and three desserts, is available to view online at thebotanist.uk.com.
Commenting on the menu, Harriet Giles, business development manager at The Botanist, said: “Our Hanging Kebabs are a firm favourite with guests all year around, so we wanted to honour the dish with a festive twist on our Christmas menu.
Christmas is a really exciting time for The Botanist – we really go to town with the decorations and events to get into the spirit of the season. We look forward to welcoming guests throughout the Christmas period and hope they enjoy the festivities as much as we will.
In addition to its Christmas menu, The Botanist will be hosting a series of the festive events starting from Thursday 17 November, as the city switches on its Christmas Lights. City dwellers, workers and visitors can escape the cold and visit the Temple Street bar to enjoy a range of hot drinks, including mulled wine, warm cider, hot G&Ts and a signature sloe gin hot toddy.
Also on the festive line up are Christmas wreath making on Wednesday 23 November, The Botanist Christmas Quiz on Sunday 4 December and Carols by Candlelight on Tuesday 20 December.
The Botanist Christmas menu is available throughout December with three courses for £22.50 for lunch and £27.50 for dinner.
