After the roaring success of the first Food Truck Friday, the highly anticipated event returns to Albion Square in the Jewellery Quarter on Friday, March 28th, from 5 PM to 9:30 PM. With an exciting lineup of independent street food vendors, this gathering promises another evening of mouthwatering flavors, community spirit, and a vibrant atmosphere.
This month’s participating food trucks bring an incredible variety of global tastes:
- Wagyu Burger Truck – Serving up premium, juicy Wagyu beef burgers that take indulgence to the next level.
- The Hungry Penguin Pancake Company – Sweet and savory pancakes.
- South Birmingham Curry Club – Homestyle Indian curries and street food.
- Tacos El Pap – Authentic Mexican street tacos, packed with fresh ingredients and bold spices.
- The Flippin Pizza Company – Wood-fired pizzas with crispy bases and delicious, fresh toppings.
“The response to the first Food Truck Friday was incredible,” says Latham Papworth, owner of Tacos El Pap. “We can’t wait to be back in the Jewellery Quarter serving up our tacos to such a buzzing crowd.”
“It’s great to see the Jewellery Quarter embracing street food,” adds Stephen McCarty, owner of Wagyu Burger Truck. “We had an amazing time at the last event, and we’re ready to fire up the grills for round two.”
Temper and Brown, the Jewellery Quarter’s favorite neighborhood bar, is joining the festivities, inviting festival-goers to bring their food inside. From 6 PM until 1 AM, the bar will host a night of music with Damian from Westloop Chicago, providing the perfect soundtrack to a great evening of food and drinks.
