The Pineapple Club is celebrating its second birthday in September! In
its first two years, The Pineapple Club has boasted a number of noteworthy achievements; placing 44 in the Top 50 cocktail bars in the UK, winning Class Bar Magazines ‘employer of the year’, and picking up The Drinks Trust ‘golden pineapple’ for best employee initiatives. The Pineapple club offers a lively atmosphere, top quality cocktails and causal dining experience with it’s great mix of small plates. They have gone above and beyond to make their mark on Birminghams hospitality scene.
As is probably evident from the awards picked up over the previous two years, outreach work is at the forefront of The Pineapple Club’s ethos. Working alongside charities who aid in getting the longterm unemployed into hospitality careers who now boast 25% of their team have been taken out of long term unemployment.
In celebration of 2 years, The Pineapple Club is launching a whole new cocktail menu titled ‘Faces of Our Industry’. As always, this menu has been lovingly crafted by the expert team you can find shaking up your drinks behind the Pineapple Club’s bar. However, this time they created their signature cocktails with one thing in mind; Representation. The new menu is an evolution of The Pineapple Clubs current ‘Considered Drinking’ menu which focuses on supporting brands that work with or towards good causes locally and around the world.
This menu is about recognising the differences in people. All the brands and products on this menu have been chosen not only because of the quality of the product, but also because of the people behind them, valuing and enabling everyone to thrive in hospitality. Some of the groups supported in this menu include LGBTQ+, Multi-diverse backgrounds, Neuro-diverse as well as contributing to Mental Health Causes and more.
Talking about the driving force behind this menu, owner of The Pineapple Club Samuel Boulton says ‘There is a lot of great people out there doing even greater things. As a Brummie I grew up in a multicultural diverse and accept area. It’s not just about the product, its about the person and the those behind it too. I want to make sure these people get the spotlight they deserve for the hard work they’ve put in”.
Each cocktail has an entire page dedicated to each drink, longside a drink photo, descriptions, a photo of the person behind the brand, along with a bio depicting a little more about them as a person, their brand and the work they do as a company.
There is reason The Pineapple Club wanted to work with these people and
they want to shout about it!
You can start sipping on these brand new cocktails from the 13th September. Bookings are not required but are recommended during busy
periods.
