‘Portrait of Youth’, the new single by rising UK band Goodnight Lenin on via Static Caravan Recordings, is available to download now.
In suspending their celebrated US West Coast influences in favour of a harder and rockier aesthetic, the five-piece have produced a driving track powered by motorik guitarwork, weighty drums and the band’s signature harmonies.
In the words of the Birmingham outfit’s vocalist and guitarist John Fell,
‘Portrait Of Youth is a departure from our previous mellower sound, a natural follow up from ‘Desire’ which we released late last year. On this track, we’ve consciously stepped up the speed and noise more in line with some of our East Coast influences. We’re really excited to unleash these new tracks to our fans in London and Birmingham this week.
An electrifying new video, shot in black and white and featuring extraordinary lighting, has been released online to accompany the single release.
