Isaac’s restaurant at The Grand launch new menu!

Inspired by classic New York brasseries, Isaac’s restaurant on Barwick Street introduced a host of new dishes to its menu on 10th May.

New appetisers include the Florida Cocktail, with a mix of lobster, crayfish and citrus that is perfect for spring and summer.

Summer entrées include Chalk-Stream Trout with warm potato salad, and Crab Linguine with confit tomato, lime, chilli & coriander. Vegans can choose from Aubergine ‘Philly Cheesecake’ with caramelised onion & pepper or plant-based burgers and hot dogs from the Heroes section of the menu, which also now includes Crispy Buttermilk Chicken, Potato Waffle & Fried Egg with maple syrup.

For dessert, diners can choose from Isaac’s signature Baked Alaska, flamed at the table, Double Chocolate & Hazelnut Mud CakeBaked New York Cheesecake, Key Lime Pie or Morello Cherry & Honeycomb Sundae. There are also two new shakes on the menu: Peanut Butter + Jelly, and Cherry Chocolate.

Culinary Director, Adam Bateman, said:

We mix the best of New York and American comfort food with a big dash of Birmingham. Our 30-day aged steaks come from Aubrey Allen, one of the best and oldest butchers in the Midlands. The great thing about Isaac’s is that you can dial things up for a special occasion or just drop by for a burger or a hot dog. We’ve added twists to our hero dishes and introduced new flavours across the menu: about 70 per cent of the a la carte has been updated.”

“Alongside our steaks,” says Adam, “we’re known for great seafood, and we’ve got some tasty additions to our raw bar, including Ponzu Tuna Tartare and Scallops ceviche, not to mention the Seafood Platter.
