Curators of ‘Vintage at Goodwood,’ ‘Vintage at the Southbank’ and Britain’s biggest vintage fair, Judy’s are coming to The Custard Factory this May.
The UK’s largest travelling vintage marketplace, Judy’s comes to Birmingham this season, with over 40 leading vintage traders setting up shop at The Custard Factory in Birmingham. In traditional Judy’s style, traders will be bringing some stunning new season stock, bargain rails and special offers.
Founded in 2005, the formula behind Judy’s Affordable Vintage Fair is a simple one; exasperated with rising high street prices and vintage costing an arm and a leg, Judy set out to create a fair that was equally affordable as it was eclectic; handpicking traders from the four corners of the UK, every event culminates in a vibrant vintage marketplace with over sixty years of stock to knock your socks off.
Nine years on, the vintage trend remains strong. This year we saw vintage inspired styles like the tea length skirt, wide leg swing trouser and the bomber jacket featured repeatedly on the catwalks at London Fashion Week.
Brand and Event Manager Emily Hughes admits that a return to Birmingham is a highlight in the calendar; “with such a variety of different styles within the city and a prevailing vintage scene throughout, a return to Birmingham was a no-brainer.” With over 1,200 shoppers attending our last event, a love of all things old-world certainly rings true; “we always have such a wonderful turn-out in Birmingham,” Emily adds, “with families, fashion fans and students alike all looking for that perfect piece of the past to take away with them.”
The Judy HQ team will be snapping Birmingham’s most stylish shoppers and their friends Pear of Peas will be hosting a deliciously decadent tea party! An exciting event for Birmingham’s fashion scene.
