We are excited to welcome Birmingham based music community, Listening Sessions, to Kings Heath on Saturday 8th July, as they take over the sound at the monthly street food market. Regular DJ’s and producers from Listening Sessions will be ramping up the energy in Kings Heath village square with their unique mix of dub, drum & bass, dubstep, hip hop, house, garage and techno.
Listening Sessions have been representing Birmingham’s home grown electronic music since 2013. Through hosting monthly open-showcase events for local producers, and inviting some of the most forward thinking DJs, producers and labels from around the UK, they have connected people to those that matter. This has led to a number of signings to local, national and international record labels. Their mission is to encourage collaboration, development and diversity within the local music community.
Event Sponsor, Birmingham Brewing Company, a Stirchley based micro-brewery, will provide their own range of craft beers, alongside Savva Bars who will provide a full bar service. Food traders at the event include:
- Sonora Gourmet (Mexican Street Food)
- The Paneer Wrap
- Selly Shack (Modern Caribbean)
- Flying Cow Burgers
- Cake Doctor (vegan cakes and desserts)
- Kebabylon
- The Hungry Penguin Pancake Company
(More traders to be announced)
The Kings Heath Street Food Market opens from 11am to 5pm, with Listening Sessions taking to the stage from midday. The event is free for all to attend.
This is a family friendly event with activities and attractions available for children.
