A young dance entrepreneur from Solihull has launched a Saturday morning virtual dance class to help keep the nation moving and lift spirits during lockdown 3.0.
Danni Cash, artistic director and choreographer of Dc2 Entertainment and Dance Company, which provides quality dance performances for all type of events, wanted to start 2021 as upbeat as possible so has launched her Saturday Shimmy Live which takes place at 10am until 10:30am and will take place each week until mid-February.
Danni commented: “Covid-19 has affected so many people and I just wanted to do something positive during this difficult time. A third lockdown is really beginning to have an impact on everyone’s mental health and I just wanted to help make a difference, especially as we are so limited in what exercise we can now do and getting out and about.
“With Joe Wicks doing PE classes Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I thought a Saturday morning dance class which was open to anyone of any ability and any age and includes learning all types of dance from modern and contemporary to street would help teach people a new skill and really bring some fun to weekends.”

Danni started her dance company in January 2019 and provides quality dance performances for awards ceremonies and flash mobs to private functions and weddings. Her business has been hit hard during the Covid-19 pandemic due to large venues being closed and the limited number of people being able to gather. However, Danni has tried to turn the situation into a positive by raising over £550 for Children in Need and providing entertainment for those less fortunate and struggling with the isolation.
