Midlands company, Love Writing Co. has joined forces with national charity, The Buddy Bag Foundation to help make a difference to children in emergency care.
The British education company, which is on a mission to help children love writing, has provided age-appropriate stationery, including pencils, colouring pencils and Learning to Write packs. Buddy Bags are distributed to children entering emergency accommodation, with an aim of restoring a sense of safety and security in their lives.
The Buddy Bag Foundation was set up in 2015 and has created 25,000 bags in total. The foundation supports over 200 women’s refugee centres across the UK and these bags can make a world of difference to the children who often flee violent situations at home with very few belongings.
The Buddy Bag is a backpack that includes all the essential items a baby or child needs. The Buddy bags are tailored to suit babies and children from 0-16 years of age and include items such as toiletries, pyjamas, socks, underwear and comfort items such as a teddy bear, a book and a photo frame.
Love Writing Co. provides age appropriate stationery for 3-5 years old and 6-9 year olds to make writing easier, faster and more enjoyable for children to learn to write.
