INDIE ROCK BAND LUNA BLUE hail from Brighton; active from 2015-2025, the band (4 music graduates : Tom, Nick, Seb and Ryan) will play their final ever gig in Birmingham City Centre before hanging up their instruments after a decade of banging indie rock releases.
Apparently bastard sons of Two Door Cinema Club and Foals, Luna Blue amassed a growing and loyal following through signature high-energy music, working with producer Jack Wilson (Fickle Friends) and releasing 30 successful tracks, including (in 2024) Ban The Romance (BBC Introducing Track of the Day for Valentines Day), the haunting, melodic ballad Atlantis (a rare departure from indie rock) and final release All My Friends Are Taking Drugs. To the sadness of their global following, they announced in October last year they were calling it a day and (to thank their loyal fans and mark a decade of music) re-released 11 early tracks from 2015-17*
*First Demo EP, the Nightjar EP and single Waves
The four guys remain great friends. Having played two final UK headline tours during 2024, their last ever gig in Birmingham will support Independent Venue Week in January 2025 and will take place at historic venue The Victoria in the city centre, with a fantastic live and high energy party supported by special guests Joe Kelly & The Royal Pharmacy and Lucky Number You. This intimate farewell gig is expected to sell out – a few tickets remain, so don’t miss out – join us for a fantastic evening of live music.

ALL NIGHT played by Dermot & Holly, ITV This Morning 2023
‘One word: earworms. They have an innate ability to write songs which embed themselves in your brain and you find yourself singing to surprised bin men … Indie Rock with a grin on its face and a spring in its step. You’ll smile, you’ll dance, drinks will be spilled and friends made – it’s just that kind of band!’ (Edited comments: Dart Music Festival 2024)
‘Definitely on an upward trajectory: very polished with a strong commercial edge that should appeal to many – these lads obviously know where they’re heading and the future looks bright.’ Tom Robinson: BBC Radio 6 & Fresh on the Net
Luna Blue squeeze on and blast out a fun 80s vibe. The singer sounds a bit like George Michael – never a bad thing. Tight, sharp guitars, bouncy rhythm and that voice: boy can this lad sing! – they’re awesome. (Edited review : Sound Check online 2023)
