MADE Festival Reveals Line Ups For Huge Weekend of Events, and a Return To Digbeth

MADE Festival has announced its lineup as it returns to its original inner-city site of The Digbeth Triangle this summer, bringing with it a huge weekend of music and creative arts for Birmingham and the West Midlands. The hugely popular festival will take place on Saturday, 29th July. On Sunday 30th July, the King of Dancehall lands in Birmingham as MADE presents Sean Paul. MADE’s big weekend kicks off on Friday 28th July at Forum Birmingham with the high-octane Super Sonix 16+ x MADE Festival event. Tickets for MADE Festival and MADE presents Sean Paul go on sale Thursday 30th March, with Super Sonix x MADE Festival on sale 24th April – all available from www.made-festival.co.uk

Now in its 9th year, and back at its spiritual home in Digbeth on Saturday 29th July, MADE promises to be another spectacular day and night of music as it returns to the original MADE festival ethos, collaborating with many of Birmingham’s finest club brands, DJs, street artists, and food traders (in association with Digbeth Dining Club). Across 11 stages (9 announced today) covering a wide range of contemporary electronic music, artists confirmed for the up-for-it MADE crowds include Hybrid Minds, Shy FX, Girls Don’t Sync, Flowdan (Live), Gardna (Live) ft Eva Lazarus, Luude, Ben Hemsley, Holy Goof, Oden & Fatzo (Live), Latmun, Danny Byrd, Charlie Tee, Endor, Bklava, Seb Zito, Serial Killaz, Pola & Bryson, Venjent and many more.

Next up, on Sunday 30th, the chart-topping, King of Dancehall, Sean Paul, headlines a day of amazing music, quality food, and great festival vibes in the sunshine. The Grammy-award-winning artist will bring a repertoire of smash hits to Birmingham – he’s had an incredible 25 UK Top 40 hits, including 2 no.1s – making this a show that any fans of reggae and dancehall should not miss. With support performances from General Levy and more this one is a big date in the West Midlands’ summer music diary.

Festival Director Pete Jordan said, “After a few years away due to the Commonwealth Games, we were given the one-off opportunity to return MADE back to its roots, and back to Birmingham, so it’s fair to say we are really excited for the 9th edition of the festival. Across three days we plan to shine a spotlight on the many amazing artists and creatives within the second city. The theme of collaboration runs strongly through this year’s events. The Saturday line up features some of our favourite acts from over the years, but also includes a number of new exciting talents and local brands that mirror the evolving world of electronic music. We’re very pleased to have Sean Paul performing too on an action-packed Sunday daytime event, and the region’s younger music lovers can experience what we do alongside the amazing Super Sonix, a brand that sets the standard for 16+ events in the UK.”

The weekend kickstarts into action on Friday 28th July at The Forum. Super Sonix is the UK’s leading 16+ music event and MADE Festival will team up with them to give Birmingham’s younger dance music fans a night to remember, with DJs – headliners Hedex and Bou confirmed – street art displays and top-end production

The Digbeth Triangle is a unique metropolitan site that combines a variety of interesting outdoor and existing indoor spaces. MADE Festival will take over this amazing site for one last time, bringing a guaranteed party atmosphere and quality multi-genre music across the weekend as it showcases some of the best names in electronic and urban music, alongside up-and-coming artists from across the region. The MADE Festival crowd is always ready to enjoy themselves and will ensure that Digbeth is the place to be on the last weekend of July.
