The Mill is located on Lower Trinity Street, Digbeth and is set to open in Autumn 2018 with a range of live music and DJ-led events.
Following the success of Digbeth Arena’s inaugural event under its new ownership, The MJR Group have unveiled exciting plans for a new, additional Birmingham venue, The Mill.
The Mill will be a new live music, bar and event venue in Digbeth, offering a large warehouse space, a mezzanine level and an open-top roof garden, situated against the Victorian railway arches. The multi-purpose space will open its doors in September with the event programme to be announced in the coming weeks.
Located in the heart of Birmingham, The Mill is in close proximity to Birmingham’s leading and award-winning street food attraction Digbeth Dining Club and the city’s popular addition, Ghetto Golf.
New owners, The MJR Group, who are multi-venue operators across the U.K., will invest significantly into the infrastructure of the venue, to provide a range of live music and DJ-led talent at the premises.
The venue has won support from local authorities after The MJR Group held a number of positive and engaging meetings with the West Midlands Police, Fire Services, Environmental Health Officers, local residents and the Licensing Authority.
Benjamin Newby, Operations Director at The MJR Group, said:
Live music venues are the lifeblood of our music scene and we wanted to create an environment where both live bands and DJ will want to play in.
The welcome support we have had from surrounding businesses, who are producing excellent entertainment, creative and hospitality experience, has been tremendous.
Digbeth is one of the most unique and vibrant creative-quarters in the U.K. and The MJR Group looks forward to bringing varied concerts and events to the city for everyone
