The original Rainbow pub dates back to 1767. Over the last 250 years there have been manyincarnations. It’s been bought and sold, loved, and left abandoned.It’s been a long time. Too long. But now, the time has come to breathe life back into thelegendary pub once more.
Finally The Rainbow has been lovingly restored, and it’s ready to take its rightful place oncemore at the heart of Digbeth nightlife.
The Rainbow has hosted live performances from countless well known artists over theyears such as The Heavy, La Roux, Joss Stone, Ocean Colour Scene, Bastille and UB40.
But more importantly the pub holds many fond memories for thousands of Brummies.
Meeting friends, watching gigs, dancing until the early hours, falling in love. All the thingsthat happen in a proper pub.
It’s time to make new memories, share laughs with friends and put the world to rights.
Expect live music, live sports, cocktails and good food.
Food will be provided by multi-award winning BA-HA. After many years in the hospitalityindustry, co-founders Frankie Heekin and Becky Powell decided to launch BA-HA in 2018 todeliver the best of plantbased in Brum with a unique dining experience. Expect an excitingstreet food menu, hearty Sunday roasts (Guinness gravy you say?), brunches, late night barfood and more!
The Rainbow relaunched on 2nd October 2021 and will feature live entertainment everyFriday and Saturday in the basement venue from a host of local and national acts, andresidents Urban JukeBox with DJ Feva.
