The Brindleyplace bar will re-open in Autumn with a brand new look following a £800k refurb
Pitcher & Piano’s Birmingham venue is due to receive a complete overhaul of its interior before reopening in October with a brand new look. Over £800k will be spent renovating the bar.
Poised over the water’s edge in the city’s vibrant Brindleyplace, Pitcher & Piano is one of the brand’s flagship bars. With 16 bars across the UK, Pitcher & Piano pride themselves on the aesthetic of their venues; aiming to never have two bars which look the same.
The interior space will be receiving a full overhaul. The ground floor will see a fluted bar front, a new colour palette for seating and mid-height booths with table lamps to create a more homely feel. Decorative elements will include a double-sided light bulb wall and a full height green wall with an illuminated ‘&’. On the lower ground floor, herringbone wood panelling will be added to some areas, and a photo booth will be installed.
Pitcher & Piano’s refurbishment will see the venue’s covers grow to 168, including canal-side tables. The external areas on both the ground and lower ground floors will showcase a new look with an al fresco space designed to make the outdoor space feel like an extension of the internal, edged with box hedges and festoon lights.
There will also be the addition of a bookable private dining space, alongside bookable spaces for drinks occasions, for guests looking to celebrate.
Geoff Webber, Director of Operations at Pitcher & Piano, said,
We’re really excited to announce that Pitcher & Piano Birmingham, one of our most popular venues that has been in Brindleyplace for over 20 years, will be receiving an extensive refurbishment. We have invested a significant amount – over £800k – in giving the inside and outside spaces a complete overhaul. The bar is much loved by its regulars and a stalwart of the thriving hospitality scene in Brindleyplace. Pitcher & Piano is for every occasion: welcoming guests from day to night, whether it’s a special event or just after-work drinks. We can’t wait to reopen our doors in October and show Birmingham the new space.
The bar will continue to offer a menu of fresh food alongside bottomless brunch, an extensive list of Classic, House and Sharing cocktails and a premium range of spirits, wines, beers and soft drinks.
