Plan B: How Touchwood is keeping shoppers safe this Christmas

Following the recent government announcement to instigate the Plan B Covid strategy, Touchwood is taking every precaution to make guests feel safe this Christmas.

To comply with the new rules, Touchwood has stepped up its measures to ensure mandatory mask wearing within the centre, adherence to its one-way system to reduce congestion and improve shopper traffic flow along with additional signage offering guidance to visitors.

Guests will also be greeted by members of the Touchwood team who will be handing out face masks at entry points; whilst hand sanitising stations continue to remain in strategic locations throughout the shopping centre to reduce transmission from likely touchpoints.

Tony Elvin, General Manager comments: “Throughout the pandemic we have and will continue to ensure that we do everything to make sure that Touchwood is a safe place to visit as the well-being of both our staff and guests is a number one priority.

“This festive season is no exception – especially now face coverings must now be worn in shops and shopping centres, unless of course you are exempt.

“For the safety of all our visitors we want to ensure that every precaution has been made by continuing to follow Government and Public Health guidelines, whilst also cautiously monitoring the situation over the coming weeks and months ahead.

“We would like to thank our guests for playing their part in helping us to keep everyone safe during this time.”
