Candace Bushnell, the icon who continues to empower millions of women around the globe through her culture-shifting comedy-drama Sex and the City, will bring her acclaimed one-woman show True Tales of Sex, Success and Sex and the City to The Alexandra, Birmingham on Sunday 9 March 2025.

Tickets are on sale at 10am on Friday 1 November available from atgtickets.com.   Candace Bushnell — aka the real Carrie Bradshaw — created a cultural phenomenon in Sex and the City that shaped the way generations of women viewed friendships, fashion, careers, independence, relationships and sex. Based on the lives of Candace and her inner circle, Sex and the City started as a column in The New York Observer in 1994. It was turned into a best-selling book, and became a global success as one of the most influential TV shows to ever grace the screen, changing attitudes and putting women on the center stage in one of the most exciting cities in the world. Now, Candace will bring the real stories that inspired the groundbreaking TV series to stages across the UK in this one-of-a-kind girls night out. Audiences will get to hear first-hand accounts of the people and situations that inspired Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha. Delivered in a way that only she can, Candace details moving to New York aged 18 at a time when women weren’t allowed credit cards, to becoming a sex columnist, creating an Emmy award winning TV series and several New York Times best-selling books. She’ll share the loves, laughs, highs and lows, and empowering life lessons that she’s learned along the way, like the importance of becoming your own Mr. Big — all while sipping on cosmopolitans and wearing her signature Manolos.
