Mesmeric Midlands duo – SOLAR EYES – have unveiled a brilliant new video for their latest track ‘She Kissed the Gun’ taken from their critically acclaimed self-titled album ‘SOLAR EYES’
The cosmic creation of Glenn Smyth and Sebastian Maynard Francis, ‘Solar Eyes’ the debut from the duo delivers a suite of technicoloured tunes that stretch across acid-dipped sonic landscapes and blissed-out melodies. Recalling trippy trailblazers from Primal Scream to the Chemical Brothers, Spacemen 3 to Spector-ish productions; these 12 psych-dappled songs will stimulate the senses and envelop you in their pop-preened charms.
Placing the spotlight on one of its prize excerpts, the band yesterday released a new video for featured highlight “She Kissed the Gun”. A track that finds the Birmingham duo washing down bitter pills with psychedelic-soused tonics. Reminiscent of prime Primal Scream and early Kasabian. The video lovingly animated by their bassist Emily Doyle.
With their rave received self-titled debut album finally out in the world, the band will be taking its psychedelic sounds to Nottingham Rough Trade this Saturday to play Record Store Day.
