The Jewellery Quarter is gaining a new addition to its bar and cafe scene with the opening of Somewhere in Brum on Thursday 22nd June. The brainchild of Notty Bites founder Gaurav Choraria, all dishes are exclusively vegan and vegetarian, blending pan-Asian and fusion flavours.
An excellent range of coffee and craft beers provided by Tiny Rebel and Purity Brewing will also be available. During the day, the cafe and bar will offer a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for brunch, working, or relaxing.
Guarav explained the concept behind Somewhere in Brum: “We’re trying to create a community-led space, a coffee shop by day and a bar/restaurant in the evening. We welcome everyone, you can come here and work, meet your friends for a drink, it’s a space for everyone.”
Located on the corner of St Paul’s Square, Somewhere in Brum replaces Anderson’s Grill steakhouse that was previously on site. Later in the year, Somewhere in Brum will expand to offer a restaurant, blending fine dining with a relaxed atmosphere. The colourful restaurant design was created in collaboration with Guarav’s friend and artist, Moss Carroll.
