The best of the Blues comes to Solihull

Coming up at Henry’s Blueshouse is the Honeyboy Hickling Band on Friday 14 June. Blues-rocker, Simon ‘Honeyboy’ Hickling has been a mainstay of the Midlands blues scene for over thirty years, and is established as a virtuoso Blues Harp harmonica player of international repute. With his full band, including his regular “partner-in-crime”, Bob Wilson on guitar, this promises to be a treat!

On Friday 20 September,get ready to be transported back to the electric heyday of 1950s-60s Blues and R&B with PJ Baker’s Blues Irregulars. Led by the illustrious PJ Baker himself, this hot band promises a soulful extravaganza with PJ’s mesmerizing vocal, harmonica, and guitar skills. Picture two blues guitars intertwining in classic style, complemented by blues piano and a funky Hammond Organ. It’s like Muddy Waters meets T. Bone Walker in the heart of New Orleans!

Then on Fri 22 November, Jimmy Regal and the Royals come to The Core.A tough and howlin’ harmonica-led three piece from South London, with a sound that will take you from Mississippi to New Orleans to Mali to Canvey Island.
