The Everything Digbeth Open Day brought 2,000+ People to the Creative District

On Saturday 22nd June, Zellig in partnership with Digbeth Art Space, Bread Birmingham and Back of the Bar helped bring in an influx of over 2,000 people to the creative area of Digbeth with their ‘Everything Digbeth’ open day. The big open day featured a makers market, vintage & fashion, street food, live music & art exhibitions as well as local discount offers around Digbeth.

At a time when footfall is generally low, people are keeping a tight grip on their purse strings and the likes of Devil’s Dog and The Floodgate are closing, Digbeth needed this more than ever. The free entry event helped bring in a vast footfall to the hard hit area as people came from all over to enjoy the market stalls, traders, street food & entertainment or to redeem their local discount offers.

Traders in Zellig included the likes of Alma Shop, Rebel & Rogues, Prickly Subjects, House of Two Trees, MyMum’sFridgeDoor, Boo Does Nails, Hissy Fit Clothing, Studio El Richie, Wholesale Y2K, Twinkle Tooth, WXRKINGCLVSS, Always Ballin’ Club, Paddybatesman, Hot Tramp Trends, Central School of Makeup, Under The Layer, Angel of Cakes, Ankinyi,| Oh So Soap, Dutchy Labs, Joule Design Emporium, Aura Eternity, Digbeth Art Space & Digbeth Thrift

Or with your free wristband you were able to redeem offers from local venues including The Mockingbird Cinema, Autobrew, Roxy Ball Room, Golf Fang, The Ruin, The Night Owl, EFA Gallery, Waylands Forge, Kilo Ziro, 670 Grams, Kanteen, Rico Libre, The Rainbow, Sobremesa Bar, Norton’s Irish Bar or The Old Crown.

As well as that attendees had the option of enjoying street food from House of Wingz, Hope You’re Hungry & Gurdev’s Indian Street Food, cocktails from Pom Events Ltd and they could enjoy live music throughout the day from Olly Powell, Livvie Wilkes & Matty George.
